Below are areas where you can put your gifts to work.

Sunday Morning Visitor Hospitality

We are developing teams of 2 to visit those who come on Sunday morning for worship.  We strongly encourage these visits to happen by no later than Monday evening.  The visits are meant to be casual, quick, and informative.  A training session is provided.  Sign up below if you would like more information or are interested in serving the church in this way. Connection Point

Love helping others get connected at Fountain City UMC  Then you’ll love being a Connection Point attendant!  You’ll serve alongside the Connection Point team by serving ½ hour before and after the worship service of your choice, assisting others and finding information on our web site.  We especially could use your assistance on Saturday or Sunday evening. To sign up click here.

Guide For Newcomers

Our building is large and confusing to those who are new.  A “guide” does just as the name implies and will walk with newcomers to their place of interest.  What a great way to meet new people in our church. Sign up below if you would like more information or are interested in serving the church in this way. Coffee Station Attendants

The coffee station is to be a place where our congregants and guests come to be refreshed in spirit, through fellowship and in body with a quality beverage or snack. We are located in the Narthex. To sign up click here.

Hospitality Ministry Office Support and Data Entry Team

Use your office skills to support Adult Discipleship ministry areas.  You will help with such things as word processing, data entry, and copying during normal office hours. To sign up click here.

Parking Lot Greeter

We desire for visitors and attendees to feel welcomed as soon as they arrive!  Parking lot greeters are the front line of hospitality and provide meaningful help before the services with directions to the nearest door, assisting in inclement weather, and in some cases help young families in crossing the road.  A training session is provided. Hallway Greeter

We already have a strong ministry of individuals who are stationed throughout our building to help individuals find their way and to help them feel welcomed.  We are always on the lookout for additional warm smiles.  Sign up below if you would like more information or are interested in serving the church in this way. Transportation Before and After Church

We often call this a bus ministry, but seldom do we actually use the bus.  Volunteers for this ministry agree to provide transportation to and/or from church for worship.  In most circumstances, personal vehicles are used for transportation.  Sign up below if you would like more information or are interested in serving the church in this way. Attendance Card Pickup
