Sunday School
We have classes for all children! Sunday School focuses on learning about God’s Word, loving one another, and the Christian faith. We welcome parent partners as teachers, counselors, and ministry team members. Sunday School is in session each Sunday morning from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for children birth to fifth grade.
Children’s Church
Children’s worship service offers a child-geared worship experience for children four-years old through second grade. Following Children’s Time in the adult worship service, the children are excused to Wesley Hall (located in the main hallway of the church).
Children’s church includes prayer, Bible-reading, crafts, and praise and worship singing. Parent volunteers are needed to enrich the experience. Come visit children’s church one Sunday with your child. See what all of the excitement is about!
*Children’s church is not held on communion Sundays, nor on certain holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, etc.
Wednesday Night Children’s Programming – Wednesday Night Live!
We have four groups to accommodate each age: the three-year old Sprouts, four-year old Wiggle Worms, the first and second grade Cross Trainers, and third through fifth grade Tween Team. Wednesday Night Live is a learning experience designed to teach about the Christian life, along with music, crafts, stories, and other activities. Directed by adult volunteer leaders and helpers, our children learn that praising God is fun!
Most groups meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings during the school year in the upstairs classrooms of the Children’s Wing. Come and bring a friend! More information can be found on the Music Ministry page.
Scouting
Fountain City UMC supports the local Cub Scout Pack 55. More information about this Pack can be found on their website.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer we offer a fun-filled opportunity to learn more about the Christian life. This annual event is filled with crafts, snacks, activities, and songs, all designed to help children become better acquainted with our Lord Jesus Christ. Parent volunteers are always needed!
