Life of Christ – A Study of the Gospels

On May 5, the Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Study group began a new 13-week study entitled, Life of Christ. All men are invited to join this study.

There is no doubt that Jesus has had a profound influence on history. In spite of his great influence, however, there is still a sense of mystery surrounding him. Who was Jesus? What was he like?
Our primary sources of information about Jesus are found in the four Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The Gospels are Spirit-inspired character sketches of Jesus’ life, teachings, and significance. But the Gospels do not merely present histories of Jesus. The main purpose of the Gospels is to lead readers into a greater understanding of the meaning of Jesus’ life and its implications for their own. Each of us personally has to wrestle with the question “Who is Jesus?” and decide for ourselves.

This men’s group meets every Tuesday morning, 7:00-8:00 a.m., in room 137. Good fellowship, thought-provoking discussion, and lots of coffee and donuts are always present. We hope you will be there, too. Call John Needy at 687-8409 if you have questions.
