The “Festival of Flowers” event is a beautiful expression of worship. All of the flower arrangements will reflect the arranger’s interpretation of the festival theme scripture, Micah 6:8: “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” The outreach statement of Broad Street UMC is also being used: “A church in the heart of the city, with the city at the heart.”

Departure time is 8:30 a.m. from the church parking lot. Transportation is $5. Lunch will be at Cheddars in Kingsport (order from the menu). The deadline for a reservation is September 9. Call Jean Payne to make your reservation. There is no admission charge for the festival.
